Drew out and about

Drew turned two months this past week. He weighed in at 12 lbs. 12 oz. He got his immunization shots just as his two first cousins came to visit him from New Jersey. He also met his first cousin Jonah for the first time. (3rd pic is Drew and Jonah, 4th pic is Drew and Ethan) Because Drew was born in the dead of winter, he is just now starting to go out. He got out a lot this weekend and met a lot of people. He seemed very stimulated by new surroundings, smiling a lot, very alert at times, following objects and people with his eyes, and not crying too much.

Whatever gets you through the night

Big milestone for Drew as he slept through his first night on 2-16, 2 days prior to his 2 month birthday. He ate a bottle at 8:45 PM went to sleep, and did not take another bottle until 6:15 AM. It might not happen again for awhile but we enjoyed the first one. Drew is also smiling a lot more (although fairly elusively for the camera) and can hold a smile for about 5 seconds. He is also searching for his thumb, and is getting close by putting his hand up to his mouth and sucking.

Drew and Mom

Here are a few pictures of mom and Drew over the weeks

Drew is 8 weeks

Drew is becoming a real boy. He is mostly awake during the days and demands a certain amount of stimulation. He has been quite playful, a little smiley, and much more calm. He has many different places he likes to hangout. In the pics above you see him on his changing table, in the nap nanny, on the boppe, and in the bouncer. He sleeps in the nap nanny that we lay in the crib. The past week has found him sleeping longer at night, lasting up to 7 hours between bottles.

The Maestro

Maybe it is all babies, but Drew has wildly waved his arms to communicate to the world since day one. We have taken to calling him "Maestro." Here are some recent pictures of Drew really letting us know what he is thinking.
