How can I go forward when I don't know which way I'm facing?

Drew is getting close to crawling. He thrusts himself forward from a seated position, lifting his backside off the ground and either grabbing the object he is reaching for or ending up in a tummy time position. From there he can inch his way forward or spin himself in circles. This morning we had the talk about baby proofing. We are not too far away now.

Here come old flattop

In keeping with our summers outdoors activity theme, Drew went to his first Cubs game. It was a nice day, not too hot, and a low scoring game so not too much loud cheering. Drew likes clapping and music, both of which are plentiful at Wrigley Field. It was exciting to take him for the first of many many visits.
Somewhat related is Drew is getting close to clapping his hands, waving, and giving high fives. He is starting to show an understanding for moving his hands and arms in different positions. Going to Wrigley and his Wigglewormds class is helping him get closer.

Living is easy with eyes closed

Time is really flying. Summer is in full swing and Drew is doing something fun outside almost every day. Last week we went to the zoo and listened to jazz at the MCA. Street fares with kids areas happen every weekend and the pool is never far away.

I've got blisters on my fingers

We made it through Drew's first sickness, hand foot and mouth disease. The worst of it was the blisters in his mouth and on his tongue. It lasted 4 days total, and was sad to see. But as soon as he got healthy again, he continued the great development we have been seeing. His sitting, eating, sleeping, and even napping have been great. He is starting to squeak sounds longer. He just had his first meat, chicken, and we are feeding him all sorts of yummy fruits and vegetables.
